The following are some examples of the securities litigation recently handled by our lawyers:

Securities Fraud.SEC v. Invesco Mutual Funds, et al. United States District Court for the District of Colorado. Rich Caschette represented the former CEO of Invesco Mutual Funds in a SEC investigation and private class actions involving alleged market timing. The case settled prior to trial.

Securities Fraud.Rich Caschette defended multi-national telecommunications provider in claims brought by multiple investors regarding alleged fraud in sale of interests in private placement funding.

Securities Fraud - Legal Malpractice.Hilary Bass, as Receiver of Friendly Power Company, et. al. v. Daniel Schendziolos, et al., District Court, City and County of Denver, Colorado. Michael Mihm represented the SEC receiver of an electric power company engaged in selling electricity in California's deregulated market. Mr. Mihm prosecuted a legal malpractice/securities fraud lawsuit against the lawyers and law firms who authored legal opinions stating that partnership interests were not securities. We settled with most of the defendants for a substantial amount before trial. After a three-week jury trial, the jury found in favor of the one remaining defendant lawyer.
